Brazilian Peruvian

You hardly see an average lady on a synthetic weave-on these days, all you see is human hair or something similar to it. We believe if you are still patronizing the synthetic company, you are not in vogue. Even the companies producing synthetic weave-on are trying to make them look like ‘human hair” lol. Different shapes, different colours, different curls, many closures, all with exorbitant prices. Husbands, boyfriends and spouses are lamenting *giggles*
See ehn, you can’t blame us for going for tush hair o, the longevity, texture and beauty of these ‘human hairs’ are just out of this world. Even the fake ones last longer than synthetic weave-on. Besides, everyone wants to look good, nobody wants to be left behind. However, the big question we should ask ourselves is: Do we know how to maintain these costly weave-ons
There are lots of human hair out there (Indian, Malaysian, Cambodian and Nigerian gan sef...lol) but we’ll look at the Brazilian and Peruvian hair because, that’s what I’ve been hearing lately, it’s kinda common especially in this part of the world
Before I start sef, let me differentiate between Brazilian and Peruvian hair. Brazilian hair is soft, thick and fit for any style, while Peruvian is just too soft, shiny and so light. Peruvian use style cost pass Braz sha. So, choose your choice.
Back to the matter: How to handle the Brazil and Peru Hairs
Rule 1
Never ever wash with detergent. You need to protect these hairs like your natural hair; there are shampoos and conditioners (2 in 1) for that purpose. Before you wash, make sure you finger comb, then soak with warm water with you shampoo & conditioner for 20 minutes and dry well, detangle with a wide-toothed comb/brush and moisturize with good oil/Shea butter.
In case of curly hair, carefully select your brush and use more of conditioning product and dry with blow dryer.
Rule 2
Never ever dye it yourself without the help of a professional. Any little harm will destroy the weave-on, and that’s the end of your money
Rule 3
Brazilian and Peruvian are made to last for years. However, fake product and moisturizers can shorten its life. Therefore, do not apply fake products like oil, creams or conditioners on the hair. I prefer natural products like Shea butter and olive oil. However, if you want to do yanga with the oil and food you give your expensive weave-on, please verify its authenticity. Fake products will make the hair pull out from its root, make it lose it beauty, curls and make the colour fade
Rule 4
When it’s time to go to bed, braid out your hair into segments. No matter how straight any human hair can be, there is still need for that uniqueness and security. Its softness gives room for an iota of curliness (if there is any word like that) Hence, you need to braid it all the way to the tip, but do not braid the tip. If you feel this might be hard for you, you can use bending rollers to get fresh new curls in the morning. This shouldn’t be everyday, you can do it often.
Rule 5
Stop fighting the ‘human hair’ when combing. Fear the lord now, you want to kill it ni? Some ladies are so used to the coarse synthetic hair that they even brush their human hair the same way they brush a tangled Daniella(expression product) This is not a tug of war, even when you are in a hurry, take your time to finger comb first and brush carefully as if it were a new pikin’s head. Stop killing the innocent costly hair please, it will make it look depressed and worn out.
Me, I don’t know what they used to do these hairs o, but I know you need to take care of it well because the thing cost no be small, no be so?
