Scratchy Scalp

These head scratching can embarrass person, even when you are in a gathering or an important event, the scratching will just start from nowhere and you will start hitting it gradually before it become a warfare..lol
Ladies can scratch hair sha, some even hit the skull with their fist. Some people will scratch the scalp till it bleeds. Most guys will sarcastically ask the ladies if they can join them to scratch their scalp with broom or with their macho fists…There is God fa
But, is this our fault? NO!!!
Here are few reasons why ladies publicly/privately scratch/hit their scalps and the possible ways to avoid them
Heat
This weather is not helping matters again o, the heat is so much that you will wish to cut your head open and run water over the brain and skull itself... ifa hear!
The heat formula is simple: Once the head gets heated, scalp produces sweat. The sweat begins to itch and ones it gets a an unbearable level, you start hitting the head..gbam!
Scalp Infections
Dandruff, eczema, ring-worms, chemical burns and other internal and external factors can cause itchy hair especially when it comes in contact with sweat. Some ladies ignore these dandruff and go ahead to fix weave-on with the infections…yuck!
Tension
Have you ever wondered why some people sweat profusely even when the climate condition of the environment is freezing? This is because they are tensed or nervous about a particular event/situation. The tension makes the brain overwork and when it becomes unbearable; the body starts emitting inner heat (head/scalp inclusive)
Remember that body sweat itches, hence, they start scratching the hair aggressively with blows and punch…nawa oo
Hair styles
Fixing weave-on in hot seasons may be suicidal because this can be compared to tying a head-gear for weeks without taking it off. Suicide mission is when you now decide to fix long weave-on or two packs or more...but why?
I’m not saying you shouldn’t fix weave-on in hot season, just try to make it as short as possible. Wear something that will allow ventilation into your scalp.
Some people even carry braids that stink. It is not their fault also, it’s because there is no room for ventilation. What do you think will happen when you wear a cloth that is not dry yet? It will stink!

So, what can we do to avoid itch and smelly scalp?
Wash your braids
Yes, wash them often even while you wear them. Pour water on the scalp and blow dry it. Don’t cover it always (especially for those that do not open hair publicly) whenever you are alone in the room, open it and give space for ventilation.
.Wash your hair before weave
Pay attention to chemical burns and other dirt that may lurk around the scalp. You can also see your doctor if it requires extra medical attention
Avoid fixing of weave-on or bulky hairstyles during hot seasons.
You can go for a simple weave or use wigs that you can easily pull off whenever you feel stressed out. You can also go for short hairstyles like Rihanna , short locs etc
Finally, whenever you are tensed, take a chill pill and use whatever you have with you to fan your scalp and keep it dry. I know you won’t have time for that during your tensed situation, but you’ve got to maintain it before it gets messy and becomes aggressive scratching or boxing, lol

Please note that even men scratch head when tensed,or due to some skin/external factors
But women scratch more because of the width, length, breadth and type of the hair they wear.
Guys, if you think it’s easy for the ladies, try and wear a cap on your head for few days without water, let’s see who will scratch pass. I no dey oo…hehehe
